Overall Heat Transfer Coefficient
Whenever dealing with the heat transfer across heat exchanger tubes, the whole heat transfer coefficient, Uo, should be computed. Previous in this module have a technique for computing Uo for both rectangular and cylindrical coordinates. As the thickness of a condenser tube wall is too small and the cross-sectional area for heat transfer is associatively constant, we can use the below equation to compute Uo.
