Representation of Curves:
A curve can be represented as a collection of points, provided the points are correctly spaced. Connection of the points by short straight line segments yields sufficient visual representation of the curve. Figure illustrated two alternate point representations of the same plane curve. Points along with the curve in Figure are equally spaced along the curve length. Notice down that connection of the points by short straight line segments yields a poor representation of the curve. The representation is especially poor whereas the radius of curvature is small. Enhancing the point density in these regions, as illustrated in Figure, improves the representation.
