Types Of Gear Trains:
There are various types of gear trains. In some of the cases, the axes of rotation of the gears are fixed in space. In one of the case, gears revolve around axes which are not fixed in space. Hence, the gear trains may be classified into the following three classes:
(a) Simple gear train,
(b) Compound gear train, and
(c) Epicyclic or Planetory gear train.
