Process Advantages:

There are some advantages of the gas tungsten arc process :

A.      This produces superior quality welds, usually free of defects.

B.      It is free of the spatter, which take place with other arc welding processes.

C.      this can be used with or without filler metal as needed for the specific application.

D.     This allows excellent control of root pass weld penetration.

E.      This can generated inexpensive autogenous welds at high speeds.

F.       This can use comparatively inexpensive power supplies.

G.     This allows precise control of the welding variables.

H.     This can be utilized to weld almost all metals, including dissimilar metal joints.

I.        This allows the heat source and filler metal additions to be controlled independently.
