Measurement of Workability:
As discussed earlier the workability of concrete, being a complex property, is difficult to define. In addition, it is equally difficult to quantify the workability by carrying out a single test. For the last many years several attempts have been made by the researchers to investigate the appropriate method to determine some parameters which may closely represent the workability of concrete mix. In this clause, an overview of the most commonly used methods to determine the workability of concrete mix has been given. However, these tests are as below:
(a) Slump Test
(b) Compaction Factor Test
(c) Flow Test
(d) Vee-Bee Consistometer Test
