Checking of Formwork:

The subsequent points have to be checked before placing concrete in the formwork:

(a) A geometric dimensions of the formwork should be checked.

(b) An accuracy of the horizontal surfaces should be controlled through levels and vertical surfaces by plum-bobs.

(c) The sawdust, nails, mud particles, etc. should be removed before placing concrete.

(d) The alignment of the formwork shall not be disturbed during concreting operations.

(e) Oiling should be completed in order to prevent sticking of concrete with formwork and to ensure smooth surface of concrete.

(f)  The joints within the formwork should be checked to avoid the leakage of material.

(g) An old surface should be wetted before placing the concrete.
