Ternary Complexation and Redox Reactions:
Ternary Complexation:
Within a ternary complex creation, a central ion is coupled along with two ligands. These complexes are known as ion relation complex e.g., interaction of Hg or Sn along with Rhodamine within the presence of chloride or bromide ions.
Substitution Reactions
In a few cases an anion is made to react along with cation (central atom) of a metal-organic compound complex. That undergoes a substitution reaction and as a result, an organic ligand is set free. An analysis of F- , CN- , or sulphide ions is based on such substitution reactions. A few ions are determined through quenching or generation of non fluorescence organic cation complex.
Redox Reactions
In this case the reaction is among an organic reagent and the inorganic species. The anions like Br- , PO43- or cations like Ce (IV), Fe (III), Hg (II), and V (V) are analysed through these kinds of reactions. For instance, chloramine T and nicotinamide react along with cyanide to provide fluorinating cyanogen chloride.
