The Relationship Between Heat And Work
There is no logical relationship among work and heat. When a relation does exist, it should be found in an experimental inspection. James Prescott Joule carried out these experiments between the year 1840 and 1849. His experiments were of two kinds, namely:
(a) Experiments utilizing heat and work to obtain equivalent effects.
(b) Experiments involving cyclic processes.
