Basic Analysis Procedure for FMECA

The fundamental steps for performing an FMEA/FMECA analysis are following:

• Establish the basic rules,
• Assemble the team,
• Gather and review relevant information,
• recognize the items(s) or process(es) to be analysed,
• recognize the function(s), cause(s), effect(s) and control(s) for each item or process to be analysed,
• Evaluate the risk associated its tangible evaluation with the issues identified by the analysis,
• Perform corrective actions & re-evaluate risk,
• Prioritise and assign corrective actions, and
• Distribute, review & update the analysis, as appropriate.
