Cause and Effect Essay

The cause and effect essays are anxious with why things occur (i.e., causes) and what happens as a result (effects). The cause and effect is a general technique of organizing and talking about thoughts.

In relatively small Cause or Effect essay, it is significant to recall that Cause or Effect essays are not to be regarding both causes and effects. On contrast in a small essay of 350-400 words, it is important to focus on writing about either the causes of somewhat or the effects of something, not both. The cause for this is that it is merely not wise to try to cover too much detail in a short essay.

Consider a matter like "Air Pollution in Mexico City" as an illustration. When you were to write a twenty-page, comprehensive study about air pollution in Mexico City, possibly it would be likely to write about both the causes and effects, ten pages explaining the causes of air pollution and then ten pages explaining the effects of air pollution. Though, when writing two or three pages about "Air Pollution in Mexico City," it is essential to limit your matter therefore you can cover it carefully. By using air pollution in Mexico City as an illustration, it would be very simple to develop a paper about the causes of air pollution in Mexico City as follows:

What are the reasons of air pollution in Mexico City, for illustration?  Students in the precedent have said

(1) exhaust from trucks and vehicles,

(2) dirt from industry smokestacks,

(3) geography,

(4) speed bumps,

(5) corruption at emissions examination stations,

(6) more high pollution cars as an outcome of no-drive days,

(7) inadequate low pollution public transportation, etc.

Any of such ideas about the reasons of air pollution can be expanded into a two or three page essay. It would be likely to write about just one reason, the main reason, and discover it in depth, or it would be possible to write about the three main causes, for illustration.
On the other hand, determine the effects of air pollution in Mexico City?  Students in the past have thought

(a) reduced visibility,

(b) headaches,

(c) emphysema,

(d) allergies,

(e) runny eyes & nose,

(f) shorter life duration for Mexico City's inhabitants,

(g) lower quality of life for Mexico City's inhabitants,

(h) requirement to stay indoors,

(i) more sitting in front of the television,

(j) devastation of wildlife,

(k) negative world concentration,

(l) reduce in tourism, etc.

Any of these thoughts about the effects of air pollution can be expanded into a two or three page essay. As above, it would be possible to write about just one effect, the major effect, or it would be possible to write about the three major effects.
Points to recall whenever writing a Cause or Effect essay.

1. Express your organization. In all compositions for academic listeners, you must state your organization. Expressing your organization means that you must (a) tell your audience that you are going to inform them, (b) then inform them, and (c) then inform them what you told them.

2. List all of the reasons or all of the effects, not essentially in your essay, though before you start to write your essay. On a piece of paper before starting to write your essay, list as many reasons or affects you can think of. By using the above illustration about the effects of pollution in Mexico City, you might write your thoughts.
