Scope of Enterprise System:

In the year of 1990s, innovations in information technology led to the development of a range of software applications aimed at integrating the flow of information throughout a company, and these commercial software packages were known as Enterprise Systems.

All of the common ERP systems are supported by different functions such like financial, operations and logistics, sales, human resources, and marketing, etc. For instance SAP's R/3 packages is supported by different modules and is illustrated in Table:
