Divergence

Some cells connecting with many downstream are known as the divergence which is as shown in figure below. It serves to disseminate information to a wide range of targets.

  The illustrations involve the following:

- The Primary afferents that relay with many interneurons therefore the other inputs and motor output in the cord and brainstem can be altered.
-  The Small numbers of preganglionic autonomic neurons supply up to 100-fold bigger numbers of the postganglionic neurons.
