Neural networks
The Neurons connect altogether to form networks. The operation of neural networks, those having merely a few different types of nerve cell, is poorly understood in common. This is arguably the most serious problem for the contemporary neuroscience as big areas of the nervous system (example, the cerebral cortex) apparently consists of the similar circuit repeated millions of times. How similar circuit serves functions as diverse as those of the cerebral cortex is presently a mystery. The scale of the difficulty is explained by Caenorhabditis elegans, a small nematode worm. This animal has merely 302 neurons and the circuit diagram of its nervous system is entirely known virtually down to the last synapse. However some aspects of its behavior are beginning to be understood in terms of its network operations (example, chemotaxis) nearly all of its behavior cannot yet be modeled.
Though, some patterns of neural organization are both comprehensible and common.
