Plane Table Surveying

Introduction

The plane table is an instrument used for surveying through a graphical method in that the field work and plotting are completed simultaneously. Inside plane table surveying, an unknown point of interest is building through measuring its directions from known points. The major advantage of plane tabling is in which the topographic features to be mapped are in full view. Plane table surveying is most appropriate for small and medium scale mapping.
