Engine Cooling

Closely all diesel engines rely on a liquid cooling system to transfer waste heat out of the block and internals as display in below Figure. The cooling system consists of a closed loop same to in which of a car engine and holds the following main elements: radiator, water pump or heat exchanger, water jacket (that consists of coolant passages in the heads and block), and a thermostat.
