Development of the Surface of a Pentagonal Prism:

Procedure

(a)   Sketch the front and top views of the prism is like let it be a right and regular pentagonal prism.

(b)   Sketch the stretch-out lines A, A, and A₁, A₁ of lengths same to the periphery of the base of the prism, that is same to five times the side of the pentagon.

(c)    Divide AA into five (5) same parts and sketch vertical lines representing the edges.

AA, A1 A₁ represents the lateral development of the pentagonal prism.
