Analysis of Blood Serum:
In sequence to facilitate diagnosis, a serum from human blood is analysed for the presence of various ions or metabolites. Where too fluorescence measurement plays a significant role and the leukocyte in blood is analysed. For this excitation and emission wavelength are 465 nm and 475 nm, in that order.
Analysis of Creatinine Phosphokinase
Creatinine phosphokinase (CPK) is a significant enzyme whose level within the body increases after heart attack. The fluorimetric technique of determination of CPK is based on the subsequent reactions.
Creatinephosphate + ADP → Creatine + ATP
ATP + glucose → ADP + Glucose 6-phosphate
Glucose 6-phosphate + NAD → 6-phosphogluconate + NADH + H+
whereas, NAD is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. The fluorescent intensity is measured at 450 nm. As same, Galactose has been determined within blood and plasma using a continuous flow system and two coupled enzyme systems, namely, peroxidase and galactose oxidase.
