Effects of Variables on the Cutting Force:
The, mechanical, physical and metallurgical properties of workpiece material mainly govern the forces of resistance provided by the workpiece material throughout its deformation/chip formation. These forces of resistance are conquering through the cutting tool/machine tool. Superior the tensile strength and hardness of workpiece material, the cutting tool shall experience larger forces for otherwise similar cutting conditions. But, the relationship among workpiece material forces and properties is non-linear. A number of empirical relationships have been proposed for the prediction of cutting force (Fc) in terms of workpiece material properties.
