Precautions:
Precautions to be adopted along with oxygen-hydrogen coulometer:
1. The gas burette should be water-jacketed and the temperature read to be inside ± 0.1oC.
2. The electrolyte must be pre-saturated along with oxygen and hydrogen mixture.
3. During the course of the reaction, a gas burette must be lowered periodically to carry the gas pressure close to atmospheric pressure so in which solubility equilibrium is managed.
