Limiting corrosion of aluminum:
The conditions which have proven to be most effectual in limiting corrosion of aluminum are as follows.
1 Maintaining pH slightly acidic along with the value of the pH depending largely upon operating temperature
2 Elimination of dissolved oxygen
3 Elimination of solid and soluble impurities
4 Prevention of the introduction of organic impurities
5 Pretreatment (or pickling)
6 Maintaining water purity
