Gravimetric method:
Such as any other gravimetric method, electrogravimetry works well just while accurately weighable amounts of the analyte are present in the sample. Therefore, this method is not much menaingful for the analysis of trace metals. But it might still be useful as the first step in the analysis of an alloy. After erase of the bulk constituents through electrolysis, the trace constituents could be analysed through other more sensitive methods. Table list the general metals which can be determined through constant current electrolysis method and constant potential electrolysis method, in that order.
