Effect of Condenser Pressure:
A enhance in condenser pressure, likewise results in reduces in the refrigerating capacity and an enhancement in power consumption, as seen from the modified cycle 1 -2'-3'-4' for tk' = 45°C in given fig. The decrement in refrigerating capacity is because of a decrease in the refrigerating effect & volumetric efficiency. The enhancement in power consumption is because of increased mass flow (because of decreased refrigerating effect) & an increase in particular work (because of increased pressure ratio), though the isentropic line remains unaffected. Accordingly, one can write for the ratios
Effect of Condenser Pressure
This is obvious that COP decreases both having decreasing evaporator & increasing condenser pressures.
However, it can be noted down that the influence of increase in condenser pressure is not like server, on the refrigerating power consumption and capacity per ton of refrigeration, as that of the decrement in evaporator pressure.
