Introduction to Programming Languages

There is an explosion in IT (information technology) in the last few years and this will continue in the new millennium that has already dawned. The cause for the leaps and bounds in IT is the introduction of powerful microprocessors and the Internet.  The growth in information technology has modified the boundaries and the globe has shrunk in its size.   Therefore, this era of (IT) information technology will belong to the computer professionals who speak by the machine.Information cannot be described precisely. Information is associated to ideas and meaning which could be processed, communicated or converted into various forms. Furthermore, the information might be presented in various ways in various languages. Then information becomes necessary for one to understand the language or else the information becomes meaningless or it might be uninformative. A computer expert who speaks to the computer has to speak in particularly designed languages which could be understood through the computer.
