Input Device

Various devices are available for data input on graphics workstations. Most of the systems have a keyboard and one or more additional devices specially designed for interactive input. There are different kinds of input devices.

Logical Devices

• Locator, to mention a position and/or orientation
• Pick, to choose a displayed entity
• To input a single value in the space of real numbers
• Keyboard, to input a character string
• Choice, to choose from a set of possible actions or choices.
