Tool Handling

The tool handling system transfers tools though tool room and the tool storage to the specific tool magazines on each machine. Based on tool changeover requirements, one tool handling system might serve several machines. A tool handling system equipped along with an automated guided vehicle (AGV) decreases or eliminates setup time and enhances machine utilization. Given figure depicts an AGV mounted robot loading a tool magazine with tools.
