Network Architecture
A communication network contains a number of components such as software, hardware and media. Network architecture explained the components, the functions carried out, and the interfaces and interactions among the components of a network. It encompasses hardware, software, topologies, standards, data link controls, and protocols. It defines the function, and interactions among 2 kind of components.
- Communication software modules that establish & monitor sessions among remotely located processes, and permit exchange of data and control messages.
- Application programs (user processes) that utilizes the networks.
