Poly Code and Hybrid Structure

A poly code contain a chain like structure .In this case each of digit of the code position represents distinct bit of information regardless of the previous digit. Chain codes are compact and much easier to use and construct. The drawback of this system is that it may not be as detailed as mono code structure.

The hybrid structure is a mixture of mono and poly code structures .Mostly coding systems utilize a hybrid structure to achieve the advantages of both the structures. Optiz coding scheme is a good instance of hybrid coding structure.
