Rolling Shutters
Given figure show a typical rolling shutter door. It consists of a drum, a frame, and a shutter made of thin steel plates. The width of the door can vary in the range 2 to 3 m. The shutter moves on steel guides provided on sides and can roll up easily. On the drum for this counter- balancing is made with helical springs. The shutter can be pulled down easily. Commonly this type of doors is used as additional doors to offices, shops banks, factory, and buildings from the point of safety.
