Galvanised iron Sheets

Galvanised iron (G.I) corrugated sheets are manufactured of sizes 1.0 to 1.2 m wide and 1.65 m length. Galvanisation of iron makes them rust proof. They are fixed to steel purlins by using washers and J-bolts. They are durable, light in weight, fire proof and no need of maintenance. Commonly they are used as covering materials for, godown, sheds, ware houses etc. Given table gives comparison between GI and AC sheets for roof covering.
