CONTOURS

Contour line is an imaginary line which connects points of equal elevation. After establishing reduced levels of several points such type of lines is drawn on the plan of an area in the area. In an area the contour lines are drawn keeping difference in elevation of between 2 consecutive lines constant. For example, given figure shows contours in an area with contour interval of 1 m. On contour lines ,the level of lines is also written.
