COMPUTATION OF AREAS FROM FIELD NOTES
It can be subdivided in a set of convenient figures if the area is bound by straight edges, and area calculated. But in most of the cases the boundary can have irregular shape. Major area is subdivided into regular shape and area is found in such cases. The smaller area near the boundary is found from taking offset from a survey line as shown in figure.
