Oiliness

Oiliness is very significant quality of lubricants. Vegetable oils have oiliness whereas mineral oils are very low in this property. To improve oiliness of mineral oils additive such like vegetable oils & fatty acids such like oleic and stearic acids are added up to them.
Lubricants which have high oiliness reside in their location, that is, in between the lubricated surfaces and do not come out simply while they are subjected to high pressure.
