Selection of Stations

Points that should be considered in selecting station points are following:

1.   It ought to be visible from at least two or more stations.
2.   As much as possible main lines should run on level ground.
3.   All triangles should be in well conditioned (No angle should be less than 30º).
4.   Main network must have as few lines as possible.
5.   Each main triangle should have at least 1 check line.
6.   Obstacles to chaining and ranging should be avoided.
7.   Sides of the larger triangles must pass as close to boundary lines as possible.
8.   Frequent and Tresspassing crossing of the roads should be ignored.
