Efficiency of a Neutral Format of Data Exchange:

Most of the companies discover it difficult to enforce utilizes of a common set of CAD/CAM tools in their organization. Due to the lack of any common set of tools, a general format for neutral file exchange is needed. By using a neutral standard for transferring information across heterogeneous systems drastically decreased the requirements for translators. The cost benefits are recommended by the reduction in essential translators illustrated in Figure.
