Complete-mix Process

This is an application of the flow regime of a continuous-flow stirred tank reactor. Recycled activated sludge and settled wastewater are typically introduced at several points in the aeration tank. An organic load on the aeration tank and the oxygen demand are uniform throughout the tank length. BOD removal efficiency varies between 85-95%.
