Transcription in Prokaryotes:

As in various fields of molecular biology studies of E. coli have gives the model for subsequent investigations of transcription in eukaryotic cells. The basic mechanisms through that transcription is regulated were likewise elucidated through pioneering experiments in E. coli, in that regulated gene expression permits the cell to respond to variations in the environment, like as modifications in the availability of nutrients. The sympathetic of transcription in E. coli has therefore gives the foundation for studies of the far more difficult mechanisms which regulate gene expression in eukaryotic cells.

The Prokaryotic transcription is the procedure in that messenger RNA transcripts of genetic material in prokaryotes are formed, to be translated for the production of proteins. The Prokaryotic transcription happens in the cytoplasm alongside translation. Unlike in prokaryotic eukaryotes translation and transcription can occur concurrently. This is impossible in eukaryotes, where transcription occurs in a membrane-bound nucleus although translation occurs outside the nucleus in the cytoplasm. Into prokaryotes genetic material is not enclosed in a membrane-enclosed nucleus and has access to ribosomes in the cytoplasm.
