The restore command
The main purpose of the restore command is to extract files archived by using the dump command. This command restore gives the ability to extract single individual files, their contents and directories and even a whole file system.
Syntax
restore -irRtx [ modifiers ] [ filenames ]
A restore command has an interactive mode where commands such as ls and many more could be used to find by the backup.
