Types of plasma arc cutting:
Two types of plasma arc cutting processes are following :
(A) Transfer arc,
(B) Non-transfer arc.
Power supply and gas settings play vital role in PAC. In the transfer arc procedure, the arc shall go out when the cut is completed. Once the cut runs off the metal there is no longer a whole circuit through the base metal. When the arc goes out, the gas shall also stop flowing. If an automatic carriage is being utilized, it will also stop, because of the wiring of the circuits. In the non-transfer procedure, the operating switch must be opened when the end of the cut is attained.
Plasma arc cutting might be done in any position, and this will cut virtually any metal. The ability makes it a very functional and versatile procedure. Plasma arc cutting might be done under several inches (mm) of water as well with slight modifications and precautions.
