Procedure: Take 10 ml of 0.5 mM solution of TlNO₃ in 0.1 M KNO₃ supporting electrolyte and draw the polarogram. It Determine E_1/2 from the reduction wave of Tl⁺ and compare with literature value. Also use E vs log i/i_d - I plot for accurate E_1/2.

Determination of the amount of Cd²⁺ present within the unknown solution

For the analytical determination use the calibration curve method and standard addition method both.
