Fluorimetry and Environmental Monitoring:
In recent past the fluorescence measurements have found applications in diverse fields; environment being one of the significant ones. Actually, in the air pollution monitoring especially for analysis of NO - NOx as well as SO2 gases no other method is as good as fluorescence. Even in water pollution studies, the analysis of metal pollutants such as Be, Zn, V, S is best completed through fluorescence methods. In sequence to know the implications of fluorescence measurements in air pollution monitoring we would consider two types of significant gaseous pollutants and their monitoring.
