Data objects
The data object is a representation of almost any composite information which must be understood through software by composite information we mean something which has a number of various attributes or properties. Thus "width "would not be a valid data object but dimensions incorporating height, depth and width could be describe as an object.
A data object can be an external entity example for anything which produces or consumes information a thing example for a report or a display an organizational unit example for accounting department a place example for a warehouse or a structure example for a file. Example for a car or a person can be viewed as a data object in the sense which either can be described in terms of a group of attribute. Data object description incorporates all of its attributes and the data object.
Data objects are associated to one another. Example for person can own car where the relationship own connotes a specific connection among car and person. The relationships are forever described through the context of the problem which is being analyzed.
Data object encapsulates data only there is no reference within a data object to operations which act on the data. Thus, the data object should be presented. The headings in the table reflect attribute of the object. By this case a car is define in model, ID# body type, terms of make, owner and color. The body of the table represents exact instances of the data object. Example for, a Chevy Corvette is an instance of the data object car.
