Nitrile:

A nitrile is any organic compound which comprises a -C≡N functional group. The prefix cyano- is employed interchangeably with the word nitrile in industrial literature. Nitriles are found in several useful compounds, including methyl cyanoacrylate, employed in super glue, and nitrile butadiene rubber, a nitrile-containing polymer employed in latex-free laboratory and medical gloves. Organic compounds consisting of multiple nitrile groups are termed as cyanocarbons.
