Capacitive Reactance:
Inductive reactance has its matching part in the form of capacitive reactance. This, too, can be symbolized as a ray beginning at the same zero point as inductive reactance though running off in the opposite direction, containing negative ohmic values (the figure is as shown below). Whenever the ray for capacitive reactance is joint with the ray for inductive reactance, a complete real-number line is the outcome, with ohmic values which range from the vast negative numbers, through zero, to vast positive numbers.
Figure: Capacitive reactance can be symbolized on half-line or ray. There is no limit to how large it can get negatively, though it can never be positive.
