In Achieving goals of TPM and TQM

Standardisation assists in achieving the goals of TPM owing to the following reasons :

• Standard parameters.
• Unified dimensional tolerance,
• Standardised composition of material (chemical/metallurgical).
• Unified performance tests, etc. (hence testing and inspection becomes easy and cheaper).
• The training the staffs become simpler because of standardized repetitive operations.
• Since a manufacturer can expect repeated orders, production can be continued in anticipation of orders. This results in employment stabilisation in the factories.
