Three-Phase AC Generators:
The principles of a three-phase generator are generally the similar as in which of a single-phase generator, except in which there are three equally-spaced windings and three output voltages which are all 120° out of phase along with one another. Physically adjacent loops that was display in above figure are separated through 60° of rotation; therefore, the loops are linked to the slip rings in such a manner in which there are 120 electrical degrees among phases.
The individual coils of every winding are combined and represented as a single coil. A significance of figure is in which it displays that the three-phase generator has three separate armature windings which are 120 electrical degrees out of phase.
