I am trying to decide what my topic should be for a research paper i have to write for a world history course. my primary source is ibn battuta's travel accounts. i wanted to write about islam and southeast asia, but i'm not sure on what to write about. i wanted to write about how islam spread to that area, but i haven't been able to find a lot of information. is it a good topic to stick with? can i write 2000 words about it? what do you suggest?
