Suppose that a process scheduling algorithm favors those processes that have used the least processor time in the recent past. Why will this algorithm favour I/O- bound processes, but not starve CPU-bound processes?
Ans: This will favor the I/O-bound programs due to the relatively short CPU burst request through them; though, the CPU-bound programs will not starve since I/O- bound programs will relinquish the CPU relatively frequently to do their I/O.
There can be more than one node at the highest level in the structure. False. One can describe only single node at the highest level in the structure on LDB
CIDR stands for? CIDR stands here for Classless Inter Domain Routing.
Q. Explain Assembly program execution? An assembly program is written according to a strict set of rules. A word processor or editor is used for keying an assembly program in t
What are the gates required to build a half adder ? Ans. The gates needed to build a half adder are EX-OR gate and AND gate as shown below the logic diagram of half adder:
Call request signal is: (A) Seize signal (B) Idle state signal (C) Line identification signal (D) Called subscriber alert signal Ans: Call request
What are the different modes in that 8255 Programmable Peripheral Interface (PPI) can operate? 24 I/O lines in 3-8-bit port groups - A, B, C A, B can be 8-bit input

What are the Counters? 1. The Counter is a sequential circuit which consists of a set of flip flops connected in a appropriate manner to count the sequence of input pulses.
Define speculative execution. Speculative execution means that instructions are implemented before the processor is particular that they are in the correct execution sequence.
