Why is there little or no grass in the forest, Biology

Assignment Help:

Why is there little or no grass in the forest?

1. Because of the presence of the bushy trees close together in the forest, sunlight does not penetrate simply to the ground. This is not suitable condition for grass to grow up.

2. Large trees take up majority of minerals and water substance, little left for these green grasses to grow.

3. Roots of these trees hold up the soil so that it is complex for grass to penetrate the soil.

Thus, there is little or no grass in the forest with big trees close together. Or else, if trees are rare then we can find grass.
