Which has the higher magnitude of momentum, Physics

Assignment Help:

Consider a bowling ball as well as a Ping Pong ball each moving along a straight line path at constant velocity. Which has the higher magnitude of momentum?

Answer:

One requires knowing the speed of each. Given the objects the bowling ball clearly has much more mass. However momentum depends on both mass and velocity. Presume the bowling ball's mass is 1000 times that of the Ping Pong ball. If the pace of the Ping Pong ball is less than 1000 times the speed of the bowling ball then the magnitude of the bowling ball's momentum is greater. However if the speed of the Ping Pong ball is greater than 1000 times the speed of the bowling ball then the magnitude of the Ping Pong ball's momentum is greater.
