Where is the gall bladder located?

The gall bladder is located in the Upper Right Quadrant (URQ) of the abdomen just below the liver. It keeps bile secreted by the liver. The duct, which carries bile away from the bladder, is known as the common bile duct, which joins the pancreatic duct, which opens in the duodenum. The bile emulsifies fats we take in our diet, therefore the bile plays an significant role in our lipid metabolism.
